Hello Guys, I have a hunting trip scheduled for early February of 2016 for hog in Western Oklahoma. Specifically at the Addictive Hunting Ranch. I have been going through the WWW and trying to find something on a "neutral site" I found a couple blogs on some archery sites which seam to have some animosity toward Addictive Hunting Ranch, but nothing worth discussion or response. Just for starters, there are three of us going. A good friend and former boss, my son and me. My son and I have both shot pigs in the past but that was in Tennessee and I would consider it a caned hunt because of all the fences. My boss has never shot a pig before. my son is going to be using a Vz-24 long rifle (8mm Mauser), I am going to be using my .375 Am.T.R http://forum.nosler.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=31153 and my boss (former boss) will be using a 98 Mauser in 243Win. All will be loaded to max velocities and AccuBond bullets. The 8x57 will use the 200gr. the 243Win wil use the 90gr and my 375Am.T.R will be loaded with 260gr. I am well aware that the 8x57 and the 375 will be kills which will not require any tracking no matter what. The 243 however will require shot placement behind the ear. This should be no issue with the 9x scope with which the rifle is equipped. The 8x57 is mounted with a 2-7x scope and my 375 is iron sight equiped (please see link) I would like any and all comments but please realize that the weapon choices are final. I would most like to know if anyone has hunted that ranch and their honest opinion.
