Hornady Cam lock puller

Does any one use this puller? How does it work as in good or bad not actual operation. I have an entire ammo box of military 300 mag. Loaded too long and too hot. Started pulling bullets but kinetic bullet puller work good but I’ll be retired in a couple years before I finish

I have a Forester collet puller that works great.
Can't speak to the Hornady puller.

I have the Hornady Cam Loc puller & it works just fine. Interchangeable collets for different cals.
It's a decent an inexpensive tool & way way better than a kinetic hammer - simple to use too & never had a deformed bullet when using it

I have one. The only downside of it is that it doesn't work with my Co-Ax press. When I need to pull I use an older RCBS press. Prior to buying a puller it was a pair of lineman pliers, but they destroyed the bullets.

Same here. It works well for me.

Another easy way to pull bullets is to put the case in your shell holder, run it up through an empty slot where your die would go in your press and use lineman’s pliers or a Grip Rite bullet puller. Lift the case up enough to grab the bullet then use your lever and lower the round in order to pull the bullet. With the lineman’s pliers you can usually have very little damage to the bullet. With the grip rite there isn’t any issue.

I didn’t like the Grip Rite puller. I have had surgery on both wrist and some arthritis in my hands and on heavy crimps I can’t squeeze the handles hard enough to keep a grip on the bullet when I started pulling with the press. I much prefer the kinetic hammer method.

There's a bit of a learning curve with the Hornady tool, but once you get it set up and get the feel of it you can pull a boatload of bullets in a relatively short period of time. I use mine anytime I have more than a handful of bullets to pull. The kinetic is okay for two or three rounds, but the collet type can be waaaaaay faster and easier.

I used a RCBS kinetic puller for ages, I don't use it much, I am conservative when it comes to reloading and minimal on mistakes and have pulled a few bullets a year or every couple of years. My concern is which puller is best where it will NOT deform or damage bullets so it can be used again with the same accuracy? Does the Grip rite puller or the Hornady Cam Lock puller fall in that category? Not bashing anyone's puller or anything like that. I do respect your preferences.

I have both size grip-rite pullers but they don't work for me! I guess my grip strength isn't enough for what's needed. When I said I used lineman's pliers it was in conjunction with my press so you did not distort the necks on the brass.

I have both the Hornady and the RCBS and they both work fine. I had the RCBS first but a few years back I needed a certain caliber collet and the RCBS wasn't available anywhere but I could get the Hornady puller and the correct collet locally.

I use the RCBS version of the collet puller, pretty much the same concept as the Hornady except you screw it down to capture the bullet instead of the cam. I don't notice any marks on the bullets other than those from the neck of the brass occasionally.

Visually I haven’t seen any damage to the bullet , not to say it has been distorted some that I can’t say for sure.

I have the RCBS bullet puller . I use the Redding T 7 press . the RCBS with the T handle doesn't work on a turret press ,without a bunch of wiggling around . the best way would be to remove the other dies . if I were to buy a bullet puller again , I'd get the Hornady .

Thank you I didn’t want to ruin the match kings because I’m pulling the bullets downloading by 4 grains and loading to normal max oal.
