So after teh first 10 shots of the break in process on my new christensen in 257wby you can start shooting for groups so teh first group I got looked pretty darn good after 1 fowling shot I got this 4 shot group with 100 gr ballistic tips hopefully this is the begining of a great rifle

OK nitis! Nice group!
Now try it way out at 50 yards
Isn't the 257 WBY a wonder for accuracy? No wonder it was Roy's favorite.
Congrats on a fantastic rifle. You have an enviable piece of craftsmanship there and I know you know how to use it. 8)

Well, game will try to slink away whenever they know you are in the field. That is some great shooting. I reckon you'll be keeping that rifle and using that load?

we will have to see what happens I really want something a little heavier for deer as I want to take this rifle to hunt muleys while 100 grs should be adequate I am trying to decide if I want to shoot 120 gr partitions or 110 gr accubonds for deer

I wish the etip was a little bigger but it should retain alot. Maybe I will look into some barnes also

How can a guy not be very happy with that kind of grouping. How about some pics of the rifle?

Not bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/img]

Great shooting and rifle. I have one, custom but with their carbon fibre barrel, it took me over 50 rounds to get it to group.

Have a great time with that gun! I absolutely love the caliber.
