Hunting and fishing on Oahu

Has anyone done any hunting or fishing on Oahu? I just found out that I'll be working on Schofield barracks for three months, looking for things to do to pass the time. I think I'm just bringing the bow because of the gun registration on the islands. Any info or suggestions would be appreciated!

You will be there for Ahi season. Great time for fishing. As for pig hunting, hook up with some guys on base for the bow hunting part.

If you are single, I know of some great beaches/places for two legged, soft skin hunting. I spent 23 months there assigned at USARPAC Headquarters. The sun, the warm, the bikinis, the drugs, the beer and never ending beaches got old after a while. Take a quick read of "From Here to Eternity " for a very good read on Schofield.
