The more I think about it, the old model Sako lever in .308 Win, the one that looked like the Win Model 88, might just be one gun that if I had I couldn't live w/o!

What ever happened to that old Sako lever actio. Wasn't it called the Finwolf?

You are correct, the Sako Finwolf lever action was chambered in 308 Win and did look similar to the Win M88.

A pre '64 Model 70 Alaskan 338 Win Mag. If I couldn't find one of thoes then I'd take a Pre '64 model 70 in 300 H&H.

I realize that the 7mm Wby. has more case capacity than does the 7mmRemMag, but have you noted any practical difference in performance between the two?
