There has been some disscussion about it and whether it is legal but it appears that Prophet River Firearms will import scopes for $25 according to this link. Just scroll down to where they talk about fees for various items. So it would appear that it is possible to take advantage of some of the great deals on scopes south of the line.

That would be nice. The present laws on technology protection are outdated and dreamed up by somebady who wants to make everything secret. Most scope designs have been on the commercial market for several years. Leupold scope designs go back to the 1991, some of them and they are still protecting them? It does not make sense. I hope that you guys have the opportunity to access and directly buy any reasonable sporting device or attachment.

Good post, Gerry. I forgot all about Prophet River. They've imported firearms for friends of mine, but never scopes.
