I went today to pick up some loading supplies, I could not get any CCI Br2 primers but picked up 1000 Federal 205 match never used them but hope they are okay. I could only get 300 CCI mag primers :( . 1 can only of IMR-4350 powder & 1 can of H-4895. I there is no RL22 so I may have a line on a couple of cans of H-4831sc so I may be changing my load for the 270win. I am not worried about that as the New Nosler 7 states that 4831 is the most accurate and is actually 50fps faster so it should not effect the new CDS dial for the VX-6 on top of it 8).

What are you loading that requires small rifle primers, Dan?

Sorry about the confusion  , I have never used Federal primers I picked up 210 Match not 205s.

Blessings,
Dan

Charlie I could not pick up Federal in the mag so I took what I could get and that was CCI NO. 250.
I no longer shoot any magnums but still load for a couple so I picked up some. I think that I have around 500 or so I think that I will be okay for a little while.
I know the guys on the forum have always spoke highly of Federal Match so I am not to worried.

Blessings,
Dan

The CCI250s will serve you well, Dan. The Federal 210M primers are excellent--very consistent brisance.

My 22-250 Savage HB varminter really started to shine when I switched to 210Match primers. Most loads now are in the 0.250" range @ 100 yds.

I haven't had a chance to check this out but a fellow I was talking to at the range ay before yesterday said he went to Sportsman's Warehouse and there wasn't a single can of powder of any type on the shelf. I've been trying to find some small pistol primers but so far no such luck. :( This panic buying really has messed things up. Guess I should take a run out to them in the next day or two and see for myself.

I would be surprised if you can't find a solid load using the H-4831. It shares a special relationship withe the 270Win.

My primer of choice is the Federal Gold Meal Match.

Things are starting to get a bit thin here in the BC interior too.

The local stores are running low on primers and .22 rimfire ammo of all things. Most of the popular powders have been sold out and the bullet selections are limited.

The gun racks are starting to empty and no one within a thousand miles seems to have a Ruger 10-22 in stock. Chinese and Russian SKS's are about the only rifles most shops have plenty of.

I stocked up at the Lloyd gun show yesterday. 2000 Cci 250, 2000 wlr, and 2000 wsr. Primers. ( they would only sell 1000 per customer so I hit several booths. I got 5 lbs of Rl 22 , 3 Rl 19, 3 Rl 15. 5 HB100 , 3 H 4831 ssc, 3 IMR 4831, 3 H 4350, 2 IMR 4320, 2 varget, and 3 xbr 8208. I stocked up, yes I know there s a lot of overlap there.

Saskboy if I were you I would call Doug at raynershine in speedy creek , and put in an order ASAP.

Thanks Super-7 I will check it out tomorrow:)!!
I will know tomorrow if I can get my hands on the H-4831sc I could use some RL22 as well.

Blessings,
Dan

Well, I secured the H4831sc this morning and now only need RL15 & RL22. I think that I have got a connection there as well should hear about it today or tomorrow.
Next pay day I am going to stock up on ABs in a few calibers. With the 280AI being built now I will need some 140gr ABs plus I will need to pick up a few more boxes of the 160gr as well. I doubt that we will see the new ABLRs for sometime up here. :x

Smokeless powder , quite a bit ( but never enough) I have it printed off somewhere but I would have to do some digging. There was a bit of a law change last year and I had emailed my MP about it. I believe it's 20 lbs in an occupied building ( your house) and then like 80 in a non occupied building( your garage) for I believe a total just under a hundred lbs. I did read the hole document but in typical political babble there was a lot of crap to sift thru. I let my PM have it asking why get rid of the LGR then back door us with powder restrictions. He claimed the restrictions were always there but they've recently been put on/ under the light explosives banner. Go figure.

Thanks S7, I have found some RL22 will have it after the weekend
Our dealer here is very sure that he is getting at least one more order in & I will be able to get a couple of pounds of RL15. I should then be set. For some time:)!!

Blessings,
Dan

Eleven kg. After that, you have to build a powder magazine. Consequently, you are allowed to have 8000 primers.

Your MP was correct. The restrictions have always been in place; oversight has simply been transferred.
