January Lynx Hunt

Congratulations Gil on a successful hunt & thank you for the photo DrMike. I am sure looking forward to seeing that mount when it is finished.

Blessings,
Dan

Good sized Lynx ! A nice mount will do him justice..
They are considered fur bearers in AB and were not allowed to hunt them . Nice to see BC a little more open on the predator control. Congrats.
Blkram did you ever make it down this way to buy that horse? If you did I missed you on the way thru.

Super-7,

Yes we did get over thereon the Thanksgiving weekend to pick up my wife's new filly. Sorry, was a quick trip. We only had time for a quick stop by Prophet River Firearms. Although there is a chance that we make another trip over there this year. Will let you know. Need to use that 17Mach II on some jackrabbits or gophers! Are they that far north?

Blkram, very nice Lynx, congratulations. I am glad you were able to get out Dr Mike. The lynx are a fairly strong species for their size. I have witnessed them bringing down caribou. Very nice trophy.

Blkram. Iam assuming you dont sew, or this particular animal did not have a nice coat is why you decided to make it into a mount ? lol

Touché, Cheyenne. (y) No, Gil doesn't sew. That's why he uses such a small rifle; he didn't want to patch the pelt.

Now there you go...people assuming that a wild-meat and potato, gun-toting, hunting crazy, kind of guy doesn't know how to use a needle and thread! LOL

You ladies would be proud to know that my mother ensured that my brothers and I knew how to cook, clean and sew, before we were big enough to run the farm equipment and machinery (as she put it, by the time we were old enough to get married, many of the young ladies might not know how to do this and we would have to be able to fend for ourselves!)

But you are both right, I may be able to sew, but it doesn't mean that I want to!!! LOL
And one skin doesn't make a coat or a blanket...but it is going to be a great presentation of an animal worthy of this amount of respect!

Hey, it seems a good idea to suggest to Susan (Gil's wife) that she needs a lynx coat! (y) I'll make the suggestion shortly. Just trying to help, Gil; just being my usual helpful self.

Now that is a classy statement and respect for the animal.
well stated Blkram.
