Just finished my new rifle

I got it refinished and everything bolted back on. I had to go with bigger screws for the front sight base because standard screws didn't hold, there is very little room for thre screw holes because the barrel is such a light contour. Also had to pin the hood on cause it was flying off durig recoil. Otherwise it turned out perfectly.

I've pretty well settled on the H4350 and 270gr TSX load. Its just below max and clocks out at 2950fps but accuracy is great. Looking forward to seeing what I can do with the 260gr Accubonds, should be able to drive them a tad faster than the 270gr TSX.

She's a beauty for sure. That Vias brake sounds good in the ads, how's it for noise? Less blowback and noise is it's claim.
I have the 375 RUM (OLD FAITHFUL) as my favorite elk rifle. 260 gr. AccuBond at 3080 fps. 97 gr. IMR 4350 OAL 3.59" CCI 250 primers. She's plenty accurate enough for elk out to 500 yards and penetrates a bull elk end to end. Can't beat an AccuBond's performance in my experience.
I think you'll like that rifle.
Good Hunting

The vias brakes are great. My buddy has probalby done 25 vias brakes this year and everyone has been happy with them. Recoil reduction is around 40-60 percent and noise isnt' noticably louder for the shooter. LIke any gun, braked or not it is still loud but you don't get the massice increase in muzzle blast like you do with the shark gill style brakes and the front holes seem to keep everything heading downrange and not all blowing back out the sides.
