A couple of weeks ago I obtained a pair of these; Leupold 10x42 HD. Simply put, they are amazing. Where I'm guiding we have a lot of room to test optics and these things are better than anything I never used. In the time I've owned these I've let 20 or more people look through them. Universally and without exception everyone has said "wow", often followed by there's a deer. They're not cheep at $650.00 but they are a heck of a value.

Thanks for the report.
Sounds like a good value for the level of optical clarity.

It is so difficult to give a set of binoculars a test run at the store but if you get the chance you need to take a look. I'm sitting patiently right now waiting for enough light to shoot a song dog I can see in the binocs but can't pick up in my vx111.

The HD glass (when it what is advertised (some manufacturers use a name without the product)) is a game changer. Good report.

I will be looking in the new year & will remember this report!!
Thank you!!

Blessings,
Dan

Bx 3 mojave. I've used them every day since I got them. No question the best glass I've ever owned. Got them on my lap waiting for shooting light. The song dogs woke me up at 0400. I have the remnants of several deer and pheasant carcass strategically located 300 yards from the house. We will see if I can get a shot this morning.
My experience so far is the HD glass offers a huge advantage when trying to locate bedded mule deer in broken country at distance. I was scouting elk a few days ago and they also appeared to give an advantage looking into the timber across the canyon, about 400 yards. I don't have an opinion for close work.
