Loading for the 280 Ackley...

Thanks Lynn, kind of what I was looking for. Just trying to figure out how much shorter my chamber is than yours or perhaps the average. It seems mine is at least 0.125" shorter which is concerning. Going to pass this onto the gunsmith. Thanks again for your help.
 
Shot my 280 AI with RL26 and the 150gn ABLR. seems that 60.5 - 61gns is where all the magic happens for accuracy. Thats where I found my beat group. One ragged hole. I also had my bullet seated at 3.340. Nosler has a winner with the ABLR out of my rifle. If it kills as well as it fly's, I'll be one happy camper.

Loading 59.3 grains of RL 26 with Norma 280 brass (fireformed) with CCI BR2 primers and 168 grn Berger VLD (0.0014 off the lands).

Bartlein 5r barrel (24 inch) 1:9 twist on Rem 700 action (blueprinted) with one piece PTG bolt.

2900 fps -- one ragged hole. Love this powder!
