Considering a new scope for the 22-250. Probably with the high end magnification of 14. Looking for good and constant eye relief. What scopes have you had that might fit the bill?

Long,

Leupold VXIII 4.5x14 is an excellent scope that will fit the bill.

I have a Nikon Monarch 5.5x16.5 on my 22-250. Its alright but I wish I would have bought a VXIII instead.

Longwinters....................Along with the VX111, you just may want to include the Elite 4200 as well. They make a 4x16 in the 4200 and it sells for under $400......Since you are using a 22-250, eye relief or recoil will not be an issue. I have the 3x9 4200 mounted on my 300 WSM compact....As a former Leupold owner, I will advise you to take a good look at the Elite 4200......

You might also consider the Zeiss Conquest series in 4.5-14x44 or x50, as both are super bright and clear, and are right in line with the VXIII Leupolds (or a tad more expensive) as far as price is concerned, but really offer some significant quality. If I had the money, I'd get a couple for some of my rifles.

Good advice. Heck, I'd even consider something with more magnification for a dedicated varmint rifle. Dad and I both have Leupold 6.5-20's on our varmint rifles. His is a .22-250, and the higher magnification variable scope works out great.

Leupold VX-2 6-18x40, Fine duplex, w/target turrets for $450. Best scope under $500 IMO for smaller or longer range type shooting.
