accuracy is superb @100 havent had time to go past. 90 gr. retumbo produced 2738,2782,2759,2779,2768
91 gr. retumbo 2810,2842,2830,2828,2800. stock remington tube. fed gm 215. remington brass

I am loading 91.5 grs Retumbo. Was getting 2742 fps and new keg of Retumbo is 2680 fps.

jd338 whats your elevation? i am just trying to figure out why our similiar loads are so different in fps.

I am at 1500 ft. I am shooting out to 800 yds with 4-6" groups.
The 300 gr AB works well on WT deer, longest so far is 439 yds.

Yeah, but the velocity would be easy to validate at the range. My guess is both shooters have done that. 2800 or 2700 either one would deliver a lot of payload a long ways off.

Yeah I know, my buddy has already offered me a DPP and a discount if I wanted it. I told him to sell it as I'm in the process of moving and don't have time for it right now. Easy come, easy go I guess!

Tempting but the rifle sold already. Guess we all missed out on a LR thumper. Great for my buddy to move some rifles but he horse trades a bunch so I know he'll have something interesting to part with in six months or so.

We had a hunter safety class today and we give a few demonstrations on water jugs. I put a 300 gr AB into a jug at 200 hds and the impact was most impressive. The kids got to see some "long range" horse power.
