M700 Classic .300 H&H

Charlie. It was made by Holland and Holland and was still in the original wood box with all the tools, etc. He is currently telling me how much money a gun he wants will be worth going forward. He claims it will appreciate more in years ahead than than a saving account especially with the interest being offered these days. anyway he is negotiating on a 350 John Rigby N. E. No 2 ( double version )

Boomer68. please accept my apologies for taking this thread off track. I am literally about to board a flight so I wont hijack your thread any further.

You found yourself a very nice rifle, congratulations

Sorry Boomer to go offtrack. Aleena, both the .300 Flanged H&H and the .350 Rigby #2 NE should be good investments, certainly better than the 1.7 % yield from a savings account. British classic doubles have appreciated a great deal since 2000 but should continue. The Rigby's are made in Paso Robles California and in London still and reputedly are good quality. This should make the original #2 British Rifles worth more actually.

Not withstanding fraud, non payment of License costs and Chapter11, Bankruptcy, John Rigby Ltd, Califonia and the new John Rigby Ltd, London are both making guns now mutually exclusively, but neither is the original Rigby rifle dispite the Paso Robles firm owning patents and goodwill from the Founded in 1735, Irish firm which they never paid for. All the more reason to own and old one.

No worries, always nice to hear Holland & Holland and Rigby mentioned :)

Wouldn't a 350 Rigby be a superb cartridge to load! You can't get much more classic than H&H and Rigby.
