was wondering if anybody hunted with one of this little guys?

if so what game?

and what caliber?

an what distance?

Never did but I would sell my soul for a 32-20!!!!!!!

The closest I have came to doing so was shooting a Marlin 32-40 at some 200 yard targets. The gun was as old as Adam it seemed but with the fine front blade and buckhorn rear we were still able to drop them in there with about 4" of drop at that range and a 100 yard zero. Recoil was non-existent and it was quite a privilege to shoot that old levergun.

I believer the bullets were 160grain Cast Lead on top of RL-7 going around 1700 or 1800 fps.

Just screaming!

I have a Marlin 1894C which is the 357mag. Very accurate with Federal American Eagle 158gr. soft point ammo. Chronographed them at 1835fps. I have Ashley Ghost ring sights on it. I have taken ground squirrels with it out to 100yds. with it. This is my camp, plinking and small game gun.

Some day I hope to have one follow me home, it would be a 44 Rem Mag.

I have one in .41 Rem Mag. I haven't hunted with it yet but at 100 yds it will put rounds in the bottom of a soup can with iron sights.

Ron,

The .41 Rem Mag is highly desirable. My hunting partner has wanted a Marlin 41 Magnum Model 1984 FG for some time. But, then, he's got a far better wanter than the average rifle crank. Post a picture for us when you get a chance.
