Jim,

It just looks more appropriate to see that rifle outdoors.

Exactly!
I just hope to get a picture of it this fall next to a big swamp buck!

Good luck with your hunt, but as a fat guy, you can have the swamp hunting! I sink bad enough duck hunting! :)

That and I just love the way John Wayne whirls his around before facing the Ned Pepper gang in True Grit. He to me is one of the few actors who can be called the epitome of cool.
I love mine but can't wirl and ride at the same time. come to think of it I cant ride !!!

That is funny, Bill. I'm with you. If I could ride, I'd be afraid to twirl my Model 92, convinced that I'd blow off my foot or be left astride a very dead horse.

I had a slight fitting problem with the plunger on the lever locking to "my" rifle so I sent the lever back to DRC. Greg Self, the president of DRC is a top notch gentleman. He also requested I send back the original OE lever so they could match up the plungers.

It took a little longer than I thought it would but that is because DRC stripped the bluing and re-blued it for me. They wanted it to be perfect when I got it back even though I caught the inner side of the lever with a file (my fault).
I installed the lever tonight and it is a dream come true. Very smooth, very slick and with a perfect lever lock up.

This rifle is perfect for me. Nice looks, excellent bluing that matches the rifle and just the right size for my gloved hand.

DRC is a top notch company and the president, Greg Self, is a straight shooter. For those of you looking for a large lever for your 1895, you need to get a DRC lever. They stand behind their products with a 100% customer satisfaction commitment.
