For all you guys who still like it simple and straight forward when facing dangerous game or just detest the Cross bolt in you Marlin. Here is a link to get the kit to replace it.

The kick isn't too bad when you shoot from a standing position but it hits my cheek some on the bench. I use a Past recoil shield on my shoulder and it helps a lot on bench shooting. It absorbes some recoil but it also moves my cheek back a little so the stock doesn't hit it .

Sighted in at 100yds with the open sights Friday and went hunting this afternoon 11/22/08 but did not see anything. Was sitting in a thicket with a max shot of 35yds. It shoots great. If I had a Weaver 1-3 power it would really be cool but spent to much this fall already on stuff, so I will have to wait on the scope.
