I’ve found that using the best powdered milk adds just the right creaminess when I don’t have fresh milk on hand. Blends in great and doesn’t leave a weird taste. Handy to keep some in the pantry for times like this—it mixes well and gives everything a good texture too.

I like using cracker crumbs to keep the meat moist and as a binder. Onions are always good as perhaps a bit of bell pepper. Now, where's the ketchup?

Looks delicious. We make venison and nilgai meatloaf from time to time, once you dig in, its no stopping you. 
The ketchupy home made topping on top goes well with it. Thinking to make some next week, but I want to do either a brisket smoke or a BBQ first. Been a while since we had a BBQ.

Looks like something I'd be happy to tuck into. My mother always made meatloaf with a mix of beef and lamb. I don't know the ratios, but it's one of those things I wish I'd took the time to ask about. A while back I smoked a meatloaf, and I used Spanish rice as a binder and served with elote. It was a big hit with the sprouts.

Love me some meatloaf! Mashed redskin potatoes, brown gravy, and green beans. And I really love meatloaf sammies the next day! Home made bread, mayo, and I like some pepper jack cheese as well. I like it warm with the cheese melted. Hot meatloaf Sammie with fries and gravy is also a favorite. Thanks, now im hungry!
