Thanks fellas.
The .458 cal 300 gr BST went in and out leaving an exit wound the size of a quarter. The pictures show the exit.

Danielle will get her buck yet this year. She is dealing with a back injury and this has hindered her hunting this year.

Real nice buck JD. You have more snow than we do although we are getting quite a bit at the moment. Love those dark antlers.

Nice!
Any extras like that one just push em south a state please.

A very nice buck. How about a short narrative. How far, did he run, we're you on a stand. I will bet it was evening. Great pictures!

Bill,

I was hunting out of a blind and shot him at 5:30 PM with just a few minutes of legal shooting light left.
There were also 2 7 pts and an 8 pt with him. Finally after several minutes of waiting, the buck was broadside at 40 yds with no other deer behind him. With a solid double lung shot, I was surprised he went 100 yds. There was blood and hair where I shot him. Blood was rather light but he was bleeding on both sides. After 50 yds, his chest had filled up and there was quite a bit more blood to follow.

My daughter was with me but she could not see well enough for the shot. I kept encouraging her to shoot and I would be her back up but she just couldn't get on him. She kept telling me to shoot.
He ended up hearing the commotion in the blind and was ready to bolt when I took the shot.
Truth be told, I would have rather she shot and wish I hadn't shot him.

I know what you mean, Jim. I tried to get my son to shoot a couple of weeks ago but he was too picky about which doe he wanted.

I don't recall ever seeing more than one buck at the same time in Michigan ever. I've never even shot one in Michigan! Good job seeing four!!!

I have my fingers crossed that this buck I call "Heart Attack" shows himself for Danielle.

That would be a real trophy for her. Man, I'm pulling for her. Good luck, Danielle.
