Might there be a single great powder recommendation for both rifle reloading?

You could add the 250 Savage to the list of cartriges that work with 4350. Although, I'vre been stuck w/ IMR 4350 for years because I havent been able to find H4350 for years. I assume that makes a difference, not sure how much. Some one here will venture an opinion. CL

I don't have a Creedmoor, but IMR 4350 has always worked as well as anything for 30-06. If availability or cost is an issue, I am finding Staball 6.5 has been having similar results at 2/3 the cost.
Winchester and Improved Military Rifle are two powders I always have the utmost confidence in.
I may find something that shoots better or hits a higher velocity but....
Win and IMR just work well in everything I put it in. Might not always be the best group or the fastest but they always seem to be an acceptable group and acceptable velocity in every caliber it propels. That's the other thing. They work well in such a wide array of calibers as well.

If I could only have two powders on the shelf it would be win 760 and IMR 4350

I've heard nothing bad about the StaBall powder. I have yet to give it a go but some in my crew use it love it as much as W760

I was going to say H4350 or H4831SC or similar burn rates. Superformance might be good. I would have said RL26 but that stuff isn’t around much as is RL17. Hunter would also be a decent fit. That’s assuming heavier bullets in the 6.5 Creed.
That’s funny, my 270wsm is a beautiful Winchester Model 70!

I want to start reloading both a 270 WSM with 150 AccuBond LR and a 6.5 Creedmoor with 143 ELD-X. Might there be an acceptable single powder to use as a starting point?
Actually considering loading some 165 gr in my 270 WSM. Anyone shooting these in a 270wsm?

I'm not sure if I ever shot any 165's in my 270wsm when I had it. I'll check my notes when I get home. It sure liked 130g Etips, which is unusual, I never could get Etips to shoot in my 25-06.

On YouTube I've seen some videos where guys are having success with the 165 gr ABLR at higher elevations in both the 270 Win and WSM. It will be borderline but might work for you.
FWIW I tried the 165 gr ABLR factory load in my 6.8 Western and they didn't group well. Even though they were stable it just didn't work, they are a finicky bullet but if you can get them to work they are awesome.

I've had fantastic luck with both of the calibers running RL26. The 6.5 was running a 143 ELDX, and the 270 WSM was running a 140 AB.

The heaviest bullet I shot was a 150g ABLR over RL26, they shot okay, right at 1 moa with an average velocity of 3141 fps from a 24" barrel.

Could be said of any bullet ever made.

Just razzing...
I do know what you mean.
