Moa it is.

An awful lot of game has been killed by rifles and loads that wouldn't even make MOA.

The best accuracy we can get is wonderful, but I often hunt with ammo that is "good enough." The shooter is typically the weak link in the chain... At least for me.

Your loads look plenty good enough to hunt with, for me.

Guy as usual you are spot on. I know I am the weak link in my shooting and I have proved that to myself many times at the bench. I will say, this load/me seem to be pretty consistent at MOA.

Heck, my first loads with a Lee Classic Loader in a Ruger 77 280/139 Hornady/55gr IMR 4831 gave me a cluster of exactly one inch...back in 1978! I was ecstatic! I practiced all summer on "alarm clock sized rocks" at 200 yrds and shot a nice 7 ptr right at 276 looong steps that fall! You are good to go!

Oh this dog will hunt that's for sure. Can't wait to see how it does at longer ranges.

I'm sure you're you've tried this idea, but I found that when I switched from RL25 to Retumbo my loads became more consistant and accurate for me when I used CCI 250 primers instead of the Fed 215 I was using in all 4 different RUM calibers. It was when I ran out of the fed 215s that I discovered this.

Greg in all honesty the only mag primer I have ever used is the fed 215. I am certainly not opposed to trying some CCI250's and see what happens accuracy wise.

The CCI250 is the only primer I've ever used myself. Tried 215M's once but the 250's better for my loads. It couldn't hurt anything.

Twenty years ago we were bragging about MOA. That is still pretty good for a hunting load.

MOA has always worked well for me even out at longer ranges. My feelings would not be hurt if the group shrunk down a little but I'm not going to shoot the barrel out trying to shave another 1/2 inch less in group size.

I plan on shooting from 400-600 yards before to long and see how it really does. If it does well I will keep that load for hunting this year but I do intend on trying some other powders, RL-25, RL-33, N570 and Magnum.
> I couldn't agree more! if a big game rifle can consistently place 3 shots from a cold clean, perhaps slightly fouled barrel, into 1MOA, great! the real acid test is shooting 2 moa from hastily assumed field positions out to the longer ranges. this is where I burn up my ammo!! field practice (y)
