Moose Hunt

if looking for a nice rack, i would be looking toward northern Manitoba instead of newfounland

Or northern British Columbia, Yukon Territory.

The cost of those other hunts, when compared with Newfoundland, make them cost prohibitive if filling the freezer is the first priority.

The high rate of success was one of the reasons we selected Newfoundland.

I would be all over Newfoundland if I lived on the east side of the continent too, they have the densest moose population of anywhere in North America. Antlers are ok but a full freezer is much better :) You are going to have a great time.

Gerry said it very well; Newfoundland is a great place to hunt moose.

I'm in the southwest but decided to use the opportunity to travel and see a part of the world I haven't seen. Phoenix to Denver then on to Gander.

Vince, you well LOVE the flavour of newfoundland moose trust me :) I've eaten alot of moose, and newfy moose is by far the best tasting, even the colour of the meat is much nicer, not as red as other moose across NA.Good luck to you, your gonna have a great time, and meet some very friendly people on the rock! (newfoundland)

Vince, NF people are as nice as you can find. If you are meat hunting that is great!! I always say horn soup never taste quite as good as moose barley .
Good luck on your hunt! Can't wait until 2015 for photos & a great story or 2 .

Blessings
