Hi Guys, well I got back yesterday before the big game.
Left for the farm on Friday at lunch as it is a 2 hour ride we arrived at the farm and unpacked then headed out.
We had a great weekend and never got an animal, yesterday saw a real good 5 X 5 and I thought I got on him but only got to see him once.
I was walking back to the truck and saw a cow moose with a set of twins and then a small 2 year old bull moose.
I was thinking most of the way back that I am likely in the last 20 of my Whitetail hunts as I am now 55 years old. I sure hope that I can still enjoy this as much as I do right now. I do not really mind not getting the animal as I have always considered it a bonus. Sure will miss the hunt and the all the good natured kidding. On Saturday we hunted with a young guy for the first time and my hunting partner of 30 years got lost.
We laughed as he was dumb founded that someone could get lost in that small of a push. My nephew and I told Rodger that he will get know Bos and realize that Bos is almost lost on every push we do. That is why we carry Rhino GPSs and Bos has a motto it is as long as he has food and friends looking for him he is never really lost
Well we only have 1 weekend left for Whitetail and I am hoping to have another great time. Hopefully my son will be over his bronchitis and he will be able to go with me.
God has blessed me beyond measure.
Dan
