I think you just invented the Nosler24 !! :) Actually, in terms of the ratios of case capacity to bullet diameter, you are very close! Anxious for the shooting results and pics...EE2

Yes, definitely a little overbore, but barrels are cheap. Plus, I'm use to shooting Weatherby's so burning 55 grains of powder as opposed to 70 will be an added bonus.

I meant it as a compliment all the way! I don't look upon overbore as anything more than something for the gun writers to expound on when they run out of ideas. They don't often write about rate of fire - yet I believe there are more barrels messed up shooting prairie dogs than there ever are during careful range shooting sessions. New barrels make for new opportunities to work loads, go to the range and shoot, do all the things we like to do with rifles. It's been fun to read some of the Nosler26 rants on other forums. I wonder if those guys change the oil in their pickups every 1,000 miles and never drive over 55.

Very nice buddy! That rifle is built perfect! 1-8 twist with that sleek 105 AMax and I think your going to put the pain on alot of coyotes and pigs! Great build, just looks like a perfect light rifle!
