A 200gr E-tip, 225 AB, or 225gr CEB would be good bullets as well. The CEB has a BC of .640. I just noticed the have BC data for the 200gr ESP Raptor bullets, .470 BC with the tip. I might have to try those in my .338 Baer's.
Awesome grab Fotis. The 340 is my favorite Weatherby cartridge. Just the right amount of juice for the 338 bullet, for a hunter... I like it. Great score. I like that rifle as well. You did well!
Nice grab! I'm pretty sure that the 340 Weatherby is what the 338 WM wants to be when it grows up! Really hard to find a better Western states open country elk rifle.
Fotis has been known to unload a 'bee or two. He occasionally buys them back, too...but only the really special ones. Not sure yet if this one qualifies as really special.
