Has anyone tried N-165 powder in the .300Win.mag.?It seems to fall in the perfect catagory for this caliber according to the burn rate charts.
Is n-165 temperature tolerant? Will it produce top velocity and extreme accuracy using a 168gr.hunting bullet?I am currently using H-1000 with a 168,82.5grs. with great results, but wanted to experiment further. My barrel is a 25.3" Hart.
Thanks for any feedback.

While I haven't tried it in a .300 Win Mag, it sure works great in my .270WSM with the 140 gr Nosler AccuBond bullets. It is very close to Reloder 22 in burning rate, but in my rifle the N-165 gives significantly better accuracy. It also works well in my 6.5x55 with 140 gr bullets. I suspect it will work very well in your .300 Win mag. The only thing I don't like about it is its' price. It runs about $5 more per pound locally than IMR or Hodgdon powder, and $3 more per pound than the Reloder powders. I am hooked on it for my .270 WSM, though, since I haven't been able to match the accuracy/performance of the N-165/AccuBond load with anything else I have tried (IMR-4350, H-4831, Reloder 19, Reloder 22, Accurate 4350)
