need help pricing a gun and scope used

my brother has a browning bar safari two he wants to sell it is in really good shape it is a 270 with a boss

it has a shepherd scope and I know nothing about them except that they are high dollar not sure I think it is a 3-10-44or there abouts what's it worth

Define realy good shape.
What is the overall condition of the metal finish.
Are there any dings or scratches in the metal or wood.

My blue book says 835 in 100% condition
650 in 98%
550 in 95%
450 in 90%
395 in 80 %


I don't know about the scope

it is asa pristine as a used gun could be no dings maybe hunted with once or twice hardly shot maybe 2 boxes through it

Real world price will be very close to book.
Considering what is happening in the firearms market right now it could be higher.
If I was wanting to sell it I would check out the internet auction sites. Lots of exposure for a small percentage of the sale.
