New Howa Super Deluxe Walnut....

Yes they did Scotty! And over all I am pleased with all 3 Howas, the Superlite with its petite barrel will NOT hold a group as well as these standard weight 1500's will. But it is certainly more than adequate for hunting out to 400 yds on any cloven hoofed animal in N.A. Of course because it weighes over 2 lbs less, it's the one that will get carried!

Couple more photos of the new stock on our Howa 243. Looks very different from different angles! Looks more streaked horizontally in this photo!

70gr Varmagettons.......
As you folks that like figured wood can plainly see the light angle has everything to do with the projection of the fiddleback in this one.....

Thanks Mike!
I am real keen on the gun and the GPO scope. It turns out to be a great upgrade over the TC Venture I sold. Since it will spend most of its life on the wing strut of our Cub or on the Ski-doo, as a coyote gun: That will offset the fact it is an 8lb gun scoped up! And it does barely shoot moa; with cheap factory ammo. (PPU). So can't complain.......

Hey E. get a Timmney trigger for it and never look back. I had a Vanguard/Howa that the trigger felt like it was full of sand, the Timmney made it fell like glass breaking when you touched it off.
Sold the Vanguard but still have the trigger in box in my reloading room.

Yeah that is eye catching and I wouldn't want it hanging on a strut either.
Maybe try a B&C composit stock with a full bedding block and you will see those 1/4" groups along with the timmney trigger upgrade.
