Ah, I bet some of your thought you were missing out! Just messing with you. I found a copy of Nosler Number 1 and 2 on Amazon and had to have them. They are in great condition, not that I am book aficionado, but they look fine. Didn't pay too much for them either. Now I have 1, 2, 3, and 6. Gotta get the other two in order to complete my set, but I like to read them older ones every now and again.

Heck, I bet that old 257 Ackley doesn't even know they have upgraded to the 6th edition yet! Just kiddin with you. I will share my smokeless powder loads with you anytime you wanna try something different than that old black powder stuff!!! Scotty

What are those big critters pictured on the front of those manuals? Have we seen any of those? Good catch, Scotty.

I was in a sporting goods shop in Lewiston, ID a fair number of years ago, about the time Speer's #13 came out, and picked up a copy of Speer's #11 (I think, and it's 1,000 miles away). It had a JOC article about reading pressures, I think. I'd love to pick up a few more older books, as well.

My wife gives me orders to bring home a two year old each year. She insists it is plenty of meat and much more tender. I have slipped up on a couple of occasions, necessitating generous donations to multiple families.

Nice catch there Scott  ... i only have two, #2 and #6. that #1 manual looks pretty cool. Does Nosler put a moose on the cover of all their manuals? Might have something to do with John having those bullets bounce off the old bull he shot that started the revolution of the PT. 8)

Awesome Scotty,

Collecting books is almost as adddicting as rifles. The irony of your post is the very first reload data book I ever got was the green moose Nosler..

Great Snag Sunshine..

Doc Mike, Your wife sounds wondeful & wise!! Listen to her!

I would think maybe that is why there is always a moose on the cover? Don't know. Heck, big moose are always good to look at! Scotty

Excellent, Scotty! I'm lucky in that my dad kept all of his manuals and I now have the complete set of Nosler reloading books.

Scott, that is a great set to own! I have a few more to grab, and I will find them. Scotty

SB, you will find em all on Ebay, just be paitent!! Took me along time to get the last hardprint #27 Hodgdon tho. If I were you I'd be looking for thisone as well. All hodgdon produces is magazines...... Some of the old Lymans are a kick and I do keep looking for a Speer #5 wildcats, but they tend to go for a premium.... Great interesting stuff, data is outdated, but your holding history...

Well I have 4, 5, and 6. All the others were out before I started reloading. Someday I'll finish the collection. I like reading them like a real book.

Nice work scotty! You had me going with the #7, I got all excited.

I do the same thing Jake. Some folks have real novels at the their bed, I have books on Mountain Men and reloading manuals. I have probably read them all from cover to cover at least three times. Seems like I am always learning something. Plus, I like to read the write ups on the cartridges. Pretty famous folks have written a few of them. Scotty
