New rifle for my daughter..Help Guys!

260 is a great cartridge and so is the 7mm08. I have had a custom in both and when it comes to push and shove when all things are considered I would choose the 7mm08

The 6mm Remington is a wonderful round. I use 100 grain Nosler Partitions in mine and have taken game as large as a spike bull elk with it! Of course it's light for elk, but the accurate shot is the important part of that equation, along with a good bullet. I feel it's a little better cartridge than the .243 Winchester although finding a rifle for it might be tough. I believe Ruger still chambers their Model 77 MK II in it, and that's a terrific rifle.

Another good bet would be the .257 Roberts or the 7x57. I would use 110grain Accubonds in the .257, and 140 grain Accubonds in the 7x57.

OK, lots to think about. I think we are going to look for the 7mm08. Its seems to be a good choice with most here. Thanks everyone for your input. I will let you know how it ends up.
