Hi guys, normally I’m on the reloading forum, but I just bought a muzzleloader and have some questions for you in helping me get started. My question is about ballistics and bullet drop. I bought a Ballistic reticle scope that has three additional lines under the crosshairs with the first reticle drop line publishing a 3.5” drop, and the second a 11.5” drop, and the third a 23.5” drop. So I began researching to find some muzzleloader ballistics so I can determine at what range I need to set my zero so that my actual bullet drop matches the ballistic reticle on my scope. Does anybody know of a good resource that lists muzzleloader ballistics? From what I found so far, it appears that I should set my zero at 125 yards, which would put my first drop reticle at 150 yards (3.5” drop), the second at 200 yards (11.5” drop) and the third at 250 yards (23.5” drop). Does this sound right with the following set up? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
