COULD USE SOME ADVICE

While loading E-tips onto 7mm weatheryby I recognized a mistake. While installing bullet to the recommended OAL. I must have came down to hard on the lever seated the bullet but reduce/mushroom shoulder. I'm not sure what kind of pressure it will cause. I have this old saying when I'm hunting"when in doubt back out" SoI'm considering starting all over.
Its not loaded hot or anything just by the manual but working towards max load. 64gr imr 4350 oal 3.36
1. should I remove bullet, powder, primer and chuck the shell.
2. Pull bullet out to increase OAL
3. Leave it and hope the heck it dont cause any danger.
I already started removing half of 60 round completely and will most likely chuck the shells and call it a learning error just to be safe of what ill effect it may cause.

If I understand your post, you have crushed the case. I would pull the bullets and powder and toss the cases. You will have difficulty chambering if the case is crushed too badly. Make certain to leave adequate space between the shell holder and the die.

Thanks I tried chambering a couple shell and it would not load so I pulled all the bullets, primers and powder and will toss the cases. Thank you for comfirming. It really help build confidence in trouble shooting.

This happens more frequently than you might imagine. Normally, it only happens once, however.

back your seater die off a bit, its crimping before the bullet is fully seated crushing the shoulder of the case.

Here is how I set up my seating die.
I run a sized and trimmed case to the top of the stroke. Back the seater plug out all the way. Then I thread the die on to the press. As I screw the die in I pay attention to the effort required to thread in the die (not much effort). When the crimping portion of the die contacts the neck, threading in the die will become difficult. When I get to this point I back the die off one turn. Prime and charge a case put it in the press and sit a bullet on top of it. then run the press to the top of the stroke and start threading in the seater plug. You will feel it contact the bullet. Keep threading it in until you have the desired C.O.A.L.
At this point you could be done if you don't want to crimp your bullet.

If you want to crimp your bullet then back the seater plug back out and thread the die body in until you feel it contact the neck. Thread the die in in 1/8 turn at a time until you reach the desired crimp. At this piont you will have a loaded round that is at the proper lenght and crimped. Place the loaded round back in the press and run it to the top of the stroke again. Run the seater plug in until it contacts the bullet firmly. This will set your die up to crimp and give you the desired coal.
Trimming your brass to a uniform lenght plays a big role in crimping uniformity.

Hey Pat,
I would do exactly what you did. In general, a small dent in the brass will shoot out, but if you cannot chamber a load, I don't see a lot of choices. What bullet seater die are you using? I use the forster bench die.

If there is no crimping groove in the bullet or you are not loading to where you crimp into the groove try not crimping. I do not crimp my loads and never had a trouble with bullets walking out even in my mags. Just back off the seater die so it does not touch the case and try that.
