Wyoming was great, but dang, I really missed my annual fall expedition into my local mountains for mule deer here in Washington. So, I headed out for a few hours, mostly driving the Jeep, but getting out and hiking a little too, just to get out in "my" mountains for a bit this fall. Who knows, bear and elk seasons were open too - so there was at least a possibility of tagging something - I sure didn't work at it very hard though. Mostly just enjoyed a few hours in the hills. Here's a few photos from along the way:

Great pics.
Thank you for posting them. I really enjoy looking at them.

Fanstatic photos.....

I love that kinda country....but the old body no longer tolerates such environments.

It was abused too much while in the Corps....

But I'd love to take a scenic tour again before final formation.

Beautiful area, some of that area looks like it would be very good moose country.

The fall colours lend a special air to mountain scenery. The majestic peaks thrusting up through the clouds is always breathtaking. As always, I appreciate your excellent photos that permit us to accompany you on your jaunts, Guy.

Guy, I sure wish I lived as close to some hills like that as you do. That is some very neat country that you play in. I enjoy seeing it.

Thanks.

You're right you live in some of the most beautiful country on earth, thanks for sharing the visual grandeur. Fall in all it's panoramic colors is very inspiring and I wish I was there.

Thanks guys. It's about a 50 mile loop from my house. A couple of years ago when I wasn't hurting from so many injuries, I did the whole thing on my mountain bike. That was a long, fun day on the bicycle!

Am thinking I'll work up to that again next year. I just like getting out there in the hills. Hunting is great, but just being out in the hills is fine by me.

Posted pictures from my recent Mn "expedition" but its funny how "home is home" especially when you're hunting.... Gotta get back to SD. Very nice, Guy. CL

Guy
You have a talent, when you take pictures it seems like we are there on site. Beautiful as always. Got to be an elk there somewhere!

Guy,
Thanks for the tour! Come back to Wyo any time, man, and bring that camera :) . I wish there was some kind of reciprocal license thing. Like if a resident agrees to sponsor and partner with a "non-resident", the price goes down. I know, it won't happen. Seems odd though, that when herds are over objectives the fees still go up.
