Nosler 120gr. FP in 284 Win.

I wouldnt push them much faster than 2600 fps... :!:

I think the 120 gr FP around 2600 fps would work for WT deer but the 140 gr BT would be better. In most cases, you will have a quarter size exit hole. The heavier bullet will also work better should you hit a shoulder bone.
The 284 Win and the 280 Rem have the same ballistics. I have used the 140 gr BT in my 280 Rem and it kills WT deer and Caribou like lighting. Most deer have dropped in their tracks. The furthest tracking job I made with this bullet was on a heart shot WT deer, 3 jumps.

just seems like a waste to use a flat point bullet in a flat shooting high velocity round like the 284.
