I will be starting to load for my old 303 British, while there are some good bullets available it would be nice if Nosler would start making some .312 Ballistic Tips and Partitons weighing 174 gr which seems to be a common bullet weight for the 303. Those two slugs would be very versatile and cover a lot of different situations. Anyone else think so?

Man, that would be a cool one.... Better get my 250 AB for the 358's first though!

You guys are too much, although I would enjoy both the 8mm 220 grain AB and the 250 grain for the .358. However, Gerry has a good point. Man, it would be great to find a Nosler bullet for my .303 Ross.

What Nosler needs to do is expand (I just realized the hidden meaning in that :) ) The more I think about it a 174 gr Ballistic Tip would cover almost anything that one would want to do in this cartridge, could probably work well for anything from deer to moose. The .312 diameter might shoot a bit better than .311 in worn bores, the .312 Hornady and Woodleigh seem to have a good reputation for accuracy. The bullet would likely have a B.C. of around .500 pretty easily, we just need to decide on what color the tip would be :)

I secound this, i would buy a nosler bullet in a bt,or e-tip, already load tsx bullets , would like to see a tiped version, but would like 150 grns as well.never forget the off crowd for they are the ones that got reloading going in the first place, thats why horn built the leverotion. :p

That .312 diameter 174 gr BT would be perfect for a lot of the 7.62X54R rifles also.

I'm shooting the 150 grain Sierras in my .303 Brit, but I'd love to see a 174 BT with a Gold tip.

Good now we can wait for Nosler to ramp up production :) A gold tip would work or maybe a white, red and blue to match the British flag ;)

I've been asking for this for awhile. I think a 150 BT, 174 Partition and a 160ish AB would nicely fill the .310-.311 niche out there. I'm a mosin shooter and most of the bullets in this diameter are low-bc flat base designs. Hornady makes a .311 SST exclusive to Graf&Sons that is a very hot seller despite the low BC. Both mosins and enfields (and 7.7 japs and 7.65 arg ) rifles can be surprisingly accurate and there are many sporters out there. American ingenuity is being applied to the only cheap surplus rifle currently out there to build some fine mosin sporters with nice trigger pulls, improved safeties and proper bolt throw.

I would also like to see a .311 155 grain CC and a .312 174 gr FLAT BASE high BC match bullet. Many enfields do not stabilize boat tails well. It would probably have to incorporate a large hollow cavity or polymer or aluminum tip insert to get the BC up there with a flat base. This bullet would be ideal for enfield or mosin based Vintage Sniper rifles for CMP competition fired at 300 and 600 yards. I already shoot Nosler CCs in my Garand, K-31 and M96, I'd love to shoot them in my 91-30 PU as well instead of those snobby SM"king" bullets in the ugly green box.

First group i got from a 303 brit that i had all iron sites removed an recrowned, scope added.
