Nosler's New Custom Rifle

I was going through my new SCI magazine and saw that Nosler is donating a custom rifle in .280 Ackley Improved. By deductive reasoning I assume that will be their new rifle for 2006. Or maybe they are just trying to fool us. Either way I think that would make a nice rifle.

The 280 AI is a great caliber. I wonder if they would offer loaded ammo and brass in 280 AI for their rifle?

It is interesting they are going a little off the mainstream with this one, but not so far as to go with their own proprietary cartridge.

Two down, three to go. I would love to see a 375 H&H.

I would amagine they would come out with a small caliber (6mm-257-6.5 mm) gun as well. And possibly a varmit caliber.

For the record, I want to thank Nosler for having the guts to come out blazing with the .280AI.

Wow, what a caliber and AI to boot. Waaaaaaaaaaay off mainstream. And I love it. Finally someone has talked to a room full of older hunters who have done it all. A rarity and one of the best flat shooters.

Hopefully they are not all gone by now.

Hey, .280 Ackley factory 2nd brass is in stock at the Shooters Pro Shop. The .280 Ackley 1sts aren't even on shelves yet, just a little fyi.
