Come on guys! 😂 surely someone on this forum has something to say about the announcement this morning about Nosler's new ammo designed for whitetail. I've never used plain solid base bullets let's hear some opinions. I also see they are making 180 grain 350 legend ammo.👍

My thoughts are that I question the concept of bringing out new products when it seems like they can't keep up with the demand for their current products. It seems to me that it would be more profitable to make more of what you already manufacture and market (but can't keep up with the demand) than to invest money and time developing and marketing new products.

Nydan,
You are spot on with your thoughts. Nosler still has the least of any bullet or ammunition offerings in my area. Too, I just read where Nosler has parted ways with Weatherby. No one knows the details for sure, but all can imagine John is rolling in his grave. They need to do what any responsible manufacturer would do and that is leave an area that is a non-second amendment state and move to a state that supports what they do.

profit margin is better on ammo than bullets.

I am sure you are correct. However, I thought Nosler marketed itself has a premium product company. They make premium bullets such as Partition, Ballistic Tip, and AccuBond that are used as benchmarks by which all other bullets are compared. Their Nosler Ammo featured these premium bullets.

It seems to me that the non-tipped, cup and core lead bullet deer hunting ammo is stepping away from the premium products market. It seems like a change in their "branding".

I can’t tell you how many Solid Base Bottail Noslers that I consumed on paper and game before the entrance of that Ballistic Tip. Frankly, on Whitetails, I had better results with the exposed lead tips.
