I just started seeing the razor binoculars for sale used without the HD lenses. I searched old reviews and couldn't find anything bad said about them. I think they sold for about $1200 new and can be found now for around $550 used. Anyone tried them and have an opinion? I'm looking mainly for low-light performance that won't empty my bank account to the point I can't put in for my tags next month.

Thanks!

The Razor is (was, still is) serious glass. What I've seen compared favourably with European glass.

I bought the viper HD's and loved them this year. That being said, if the vipers work as well as they have for me, the razor's would have off the chart performance.

Check out the Minox Binos from Cameraland. They are awesome binos, well built and very well priced. Schott glass in them as well. Scotty
