Well, quickload is "spot on" in agreement with your results. It doesn't have the e tip in it's bullet library so I used the older barnes xbt for a longer bullet into the case.
I got to thinking that maybe I was doing a big jump up by trying 59 grains under the 130 tsx but qc is thinking in 30 degree weather I'll be doing a little over 3200 fps at about 62k pressure. Plus I think my lot of 748 is mild based on my 308 results. Loaded 4 test rounds and will watch closely for pressure. Lyman manual also backs the 59 grain as a max under the 130 so I feel I'm good to go.

It sounds as if you are in the ball park on your thinking. I am going to move away from 748 with the 150gr E-Tip because groups are not consistent with the powder after trying it again today. I have got to find a good 06 load using the E-Tip.

bullet,

Have you tried RL 22, IMR/H4350, and IMR/H4831 powders?
Set the E-Tip .100" off the lands?

Great at least a OAL to work from because I believe all a long my problem has been finding that OAL. I have a box of E-Tips coming in and a box of Nosler brass. I have not given up because I believe the E-Tip will offer me the best of both worlds. I will begin with my next loads and start with it being .100" of lands. Thanks Jim

I would also recomend that you might want to duplicate the same "jump to the lands" as other accuracy loads that you have for that gun. This often works for me.

Bullet, you've seen my load data I used for 180ETs out of my 06. I used the same COL as I did with the 180AB, 3.39" and the picture of the target on that thread tells the tale.

Good luck, buddy. I'm currently working with the 7MM 150ET in my RUM.

Thanks for all the advice and encouragement because it really helps me close in on correcting the issue. Thanks again for the information.

Mike, I'm confident you'll find a good load with the longer jump Jim is suggesting. 100 off should do the trick, in my experience. I'll reiterate that slower powders seem to work better for these E-Tips, as per my experience in two rifles now. I'd step back to something on the slower end of the spectrum that is still appropriate for the 150gr -06 loading. Maybe H4831 or something in that range?
