Pentax Gameseeker..........Any Good???

I'm not using one, but I looked one over in a store the other day, and I can tell you they appear to be made by Burris. The reticle is identical, as well as some of the other parts looking identical, including the adjustments when you take the caps off. Only the objective bell looks different, and that's not hard to extrude on a different mandrel to achieve that. Overall, a good looking scope, but I ended up going with another Bushnell Elite 3200, as I have had excellent service out of mine. I have also had excellent service out of my Pentax cameras, though, so don't think I don't like Pentax.

There is an excellent write up on that scope at 24hourcampfire.

The scope had good low light resolution but short eyerelief.

Of course it does not cost much.

Burris does assemble scopes for Pentax using lenses that Pentax suplies, but the Gameseeker line is made for them in China. I guess Pentax supplies the glass too, but I don't know that for sure.

I tested one 3-9X40 Gameseeker, and it was good for a $99 scope.

I use a Pentax camera and lenses too.

Maybe it was not the gameseeker I looked at. Hard to remember, as I have looked at probably something on the order of 30-40 different scope brands lately trying to decide on what was the best bang for the buck. Whatever I looked at, it had the Burris adjustments and ballistic plex reticle, so I assumed Burris made it. Interesting that they would supply lenses and let someone else assemble it. Probably a good way to go if you don't want a lot of overhead (headaches) in manufacturing.
