Seriously who's hoarding all the 7mm 140gr Accubonds? I can't find any anywhere.

On a different note, how are the TGRs running with respect to bullet seating? Are you able to seat your bullets to Nosler's published OALs? I'm assuming that Nosler loads their custom/trophy grade ammo to their published OAL specs?

The Nosler ammo is pretty accurate. I would say start at the SAAMI COL spec and see how it shoots in your TGR. My next suggestion would be to load .015-.020" off the lands so long as it fits the MAX magazine length.

I'm with Jim, Nosler's ammo is pretty decent. I received some 2nds for my 264WM with the 125gr PT. It shot really well for me. So much so that if I had to buy factory ammo in a pinch, that would be what I put in the magazine.

As for 140gr AB's, I couldn't tell you. There were some 140gr PT's on SPS though. Scotty

I have some (one box) of 140 gr .284 AccuBond bullets for my .280 Rem rifle. They have been hard to find since last year though. I do not know why?

Charlie have you worked with the AB's in the 280 much? I am thinking of trying something 140'ish for the new 7WSM that I have. I have a bunch of 160gr AB's as well, but I might see what some 140's do as well. No real reason, other than to try them. Scotty

7mm 140 ABs are pretty easy to find in MT. Ive got a couple boxes that Ive been trying out in my 7mm-08. Going to go shoot some more test loads in the morning if the wind isnt blowing.

I suspect any shortage is the result of purchasing agents not ordering a sufficient stock. When .284 calibre 140 grain premium bullets appear on the shelves in this area, they seem to go pretty quickly (an indication of how many people are loading that particular weight). However, those responsible for ordering appear convinced that they should be conservative on ordering these particular bullets. I try to keep myself aware of new shipments so that I can make certain I'm there shortly after they arrive. You need to ask your local supplier to notify you when a shipment is expected and have them reserve whatever you really use. Build a reputation for reliable purchase, and I'll bet they gladly phone you with a heads up.

Scotty: Here is what the 140AB will do in my .280
I think I just got lucky with it but at least I know that my problems are shooter error when I can't do this.

Man, that is great shooting Scott. I like that 280 a bunch. Very cool cartridge. I am getting a little excited to start shooting my new 7WSM. Should be a blast with 140, 150 and 160's. Not really sure which direction I am going to go with this rifle right now, but that is kind of the fun in it for me. Scotty

Crash0ride , curious from what make of gun, because my Parker hale also loves the 125 bt and 150 grn accubonds. One hole groups at 100, .5" if I due my part at 200. First time it did this I was doing the victory dance at the target, neighbors next quarter could here me patting myself on the back.
