preparing rifle for rain....

I was reading that car wax is a good weather inhibitor. I'm concerned about where I can't get to, like the trigger, saftey, bolt, etc..

Do you recommend a good quality oil spray?

Probably not what you're looking for but this season, I had my CDL 700 and stainless synthetic M70 both with me in the truck. It rained one day out of the week and that particular day, my CDL stayed cased in the truck.
