Good looking piece of wood. I don't know how much prices vary in the States, but that wouldn't be a bad price here in Canada. For sure, I'd not hesitate to take it at that price.
Way too high! I just called my local dealer last week and he said he would order me one for $779 plus tax(5.5%). Trouble is none of his wholesalers had any in their inventories. I did however put one on backorder. As soon as he can get one I will have one :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin:
I paid 600 for my M70 Sporter 264. My wood isn't as nice as that but I'm not sure the wood is 500 nicer on that rifle. They are some very sharp rifles!
When I see a lot of Model 70's from this generation of manufacturing going for $600, it is hard to get excited about this particular gun just because the wood in a little better. This is USRAC rifle and as such does not command high prices based on generally indifferent workmanship.
I had a .338 with really pretty wood from the same era but the barrel was installed badly and off axis. I sold the gun at a loss soon after that because I could not properly sight the gun in.
