Project 22-250 AI

I am working on a project and am thinking about doing a 22-250 AI with 75gr A-max bullets for a little long range shooting/chucking. I have a 1:9 twist 26" Savage takeoff barrel from my .223 that shoots lights out to rechamber. I am in the process of getting a Savage action with accutrigger and .473 bolt face to use so it should mate up well. Any thoughts on this setup? Any other calibers you would reccomend?

Hey, do it, I would like to see the results and how it shoots. I like projects, they are so cool and every one has it's own learning curve. What stock are you thinking of using? Also, what mounts and scope?

I would have a Bell and Carlson on it, I haven't gotten to the scope yet but likley a higher power setup with target turrets.

I have been thinking along the lines of a 220 Swift Improved or 22-243 wildcat. Pushing a 75gr Amax to around 3500-3600fps yields some amazing ballistics!!
