Well there’s this laying around

I’m not 100% certain on that one yet as I have piles of 338 Lapua brass on hand also , lots of options with that brass.
One thing I do know it’s going into a MPA chassis. They do list the Tac338 as an option , plus my 6 and 6.5 Creeds are in MPAs.

I called yesterday and actually talked to someone about the status of my order. I was told a couple weeks out yet. I thinking 3 months is a tad long on an action.

I agree on the 3 months. Did not get in on the sale, but the 24th of Dec. I made my order, with a LA 700 St.St. Standard bolt face, along with the Blackrock stock, new mottom metal follower mag bx and spring, as well as the reamer and the go gauge. i got the mag box and follower immediately. I was told 3 months on the stock and action. What bothered me was the give us your money now!

Well with my mind set on this build, I paid, in full, the 24th of December. Disturbed why it took so long for the bottom metal, the mag spring, after shipping just a follower and mag box? But I got the same thing with the reamer and the go gauge, ordered a week later, I immediately got the go gauge??? I just don't understand the logic of sending the insignificant parts, that are the least important without the other components to complete the set?

Well today they made up for it as sort, the Stock, bedding kit action are all being shipped Monday. I was also told after I questioned the missing components, they were available and would be shipped as well.The reamer is being fluted today and will be shipped monday or Tuesday. But the main thing is, in just 2 months, not the three I was quoted. So as of now, I will reserve any judgement other than, the lack of communication on the why things were being shipped and broken up as they were.

So hopefully you get everything in an orderly fashion. I have had 3 or 4 calls over the last 8 weeks to find out the why's things were being handled the way they were, and was always responded to each time. It didn't make sense the way I have had experience with other vendors, but, it was everything I was wanting, and looks to be in 1 3rd the time I was originally quoted.

I think your going to find the same. It might not seem logical but Im think it will happen in less time than most are told. Kind of a worse scenario to cover themselves from the start seems to be their logic, and just as soon as any part of an order is available, they seem to send it, no matter how insignificant that iten in the order is.

I’ve bought from them before just not recently. I didn’t think it would drag out this long. I’m waiting on ordering a barrel until I have the action in hand. Just delaying this build even longer.

I lucked out and called Brux right after I ordered the reamer to see how far out they were running .338 barrels, he said we're setting up today to start running them next week. So I had the barrel in two weeks. I would have checked on Hart or Shilen if they would have been months out, just lucky.

I'll be ordering a #4 sporter in 25 cal for this rifle as well, and making it my only big game rifle. I'd order from PT&G again, just never had this kind of shipping before, not fond of paying now for stuff months later either. But they have responded up front every time I've contacted them. Mabe the new era?

PTG is terrible about deadlines. When people cancel they charge a restocking fee even rhough they miss the dealines, sometimes by many months. I try to avoid buying anything from them but I did order a few actions in this sale. I was notified all but one actions was ready to ship just after Christmas. Fast forward to a couple days ago and I called about the order, I was told it should ship today. I didnt hold my breath and didnt get a notice about shipping. Maybe Monday it will happen but once again I wont hold my breath. I will call them again Monday or Tuesday if I dont get a shipping notice. BTW Stan, the FFL guy, said when he went to ship my order last week he had a duplicate on one action and was missing another if that gives you any idea of the state of their business practices.

My last purchase was about 10 years ago with no issues. I’ve been reading horror stories on other forums of the lagging shipping times. I’ve emailed them several time for an update but no response. I was surprised when I called and a guy answered. He was very courteous and checked into my order.

My neighbor ordered a bottom metal end of January and it was delivered in a week
I ordered a barrel and some action screws a week later, was slow to ship, when i called after almost 2 weeks they said they only had one guy pulling barrels. Did get it last week.
