Yesterday evening I was watching a smaller buck and couple does across the fence on adjoining property that I don't have permission to hunt. Tried grunting but he was not interested. Can't blame him as he was chowing done in a food plot with lady friends. I was in my tower stand on my cousins property I've hunted for years. The stand is on the property line. I can watch about 500yds of a narrow field with woods on each side. Since the wrong side of the fence buck wasn't moving I turned around to check my side of the fence and here was this buck walking parallel to me looking for the buck that he thought I was. He even had a doe in tow. Shot was about 75yds thru the shoulders. He dropped, rolled up on front legs so put another thru the ribs. The bullet was a Sierra 140gr Game King given to me by Steve on this form. Appreciate it. The rifle I posted about earlier this year is a Winchester Mod 70. The stock belonged to my friend Don who passed in February. I bought the barreled action, put in it. Don had hunted out of this stand a few times. Got to hunt with my son and daughter in law. So it was a great time full of fun and memories. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
