I really need to get me a 416 Mag. For no other real good reason other than to smash an elk or bear in the timber!!
That would be awesome to see.

Seems like quick load data maxes out quite a bit before the hodgdon data. Wonder if the barnes bullet is causing more pressure since hodgdon data is with the 350 gr speer?

Could be but I’d let the chrono be my guide. 4451 didn’t line up for beans when I tried using it with 4451. Magnetospeed and let it tell you. I’d imagine 2400-2500 is a handful as well.

Yeah definitely will have the magneto speed attached. I actually found some 4451 locally and already have some 4166, and trying to make do with them. I do have a great load with 300 tsx and 4166 already. Wanting to move up to the 350 gr in the rem mag with 4451, and load 400 gr in the taylor improved with 4166. DrMike already ran QL for me with the taylor improved and 4166. All this could of been avoided if I just had RL 15 lol. Should of saved it and stopped shooting haha.

I can’t stop myself. As long as there are similar powders I’ll make do myself!

I’ve got some work to do myself. Waiting for the end of deer season. Then it’s goof off time.

Hey DrMike I managed to find 8lb jug of imr 4166 this morning. Hodgdon does not list it with their 350 gr load data. Can you run a QL for this powder with a 350 TTSX for me? Hornady brass, 24" barrel. I appreciate the help.

Barnes 350 TTSX is a great bullet I found out in this year’s season , you will be happy with that choice. That combo of yours will flatten anything on this continent.
