I was wondering if anyone has tried this powder yet. I did not see the powder in my nosler book, must have come out after. I went on the alliant web site and found a couple of loads they have for my 7mm STW. Wondering if anyone might have any input on this powder.

Thanks
DS

I have had very good results with RL25 in my 340 wby(and no, nosler does not list data for it with RL25 either) I actually used the data from Hornady's manual, and went from there. I have had good velocities and accuracy using the 225 grain Partition and RL25. I am going to try it with my 7,300, and 338 RUM's as well. I would think it would be a good choice for the 7STW as well

I am using it in my .257 Weatherby with awesome results so far. I will be going out this Saturday to shoot some more and hopefully confirm my initial results.

What little I have used I have really liked.

340boy, I found RL25 too slow for my 338 ultramag. For the STW it worked fine, though IMR 7828 worked just as well. The first batches of RL25 that came out burned dirty. I do see some differences in the newer batches of powder.

I have had great accuracy with RL25 in my 338 RUM with 225 gr and 250 gr PT.

Hi JD338,
What kind of velocity are you seeing with the 90 grains RL25 in your 338RUM? I was hoping to load some 250 grain partitions with RL25 and try 'em in my Sendero soon!!

Big Rifle Man,
That is interesting, I am curious as well as to what kind of velocity you have seen out of your 338RUM with RL25. Also, how does 7828 do for you?
I have had good luck with 7828 in my 300RUM with 200 grain partitions, however, 7828 is the only powder I have tried in my 300RUM

340boy

I am getting 2950 with the 250 gr PT. Hits like a sledge hammer!

I shot my reloads last night. 78grains of RL 25 and an AccuBond 160 grain bullet. Great results for accuracy. Four shots at hundred yards and all four holes were touching. At 300 hundred yards, I Shot two shots and one shot was an inch left and the other was an inch right, both shots were on the same plain and an inch high. I was happy with the results. I will let you know what happens with the deer hunt this next week. Hopefully I will get to put this load to the real test.

thanks
Doug
