I have read that the jacket of the 180 Ballistic Tip,.308 cal. bullet has been "beefed up" and it is suitable for larger game at .300 Win.mag. velocities. If that is true,I now have three bullets in which to choose:Ballistic Tip,AccuBond,Nosler Partition.I want a bullet that will serve for an "all-around" load.I have experienced excellent accuracy with the AccuBond and Partition. What if anything will the Ballistic Tip accomplish over the other two?
One more question:Chronographing the AccuBond and Partition with indentical loads,I get less velocity with the AccuBond. What could be the reason?Different bearing surface?
Thank you,
Jim :?:
