Would you do me a favor and run the 77 Nosler CC in 556 for me using TAC and XBR, also from a 20 inch barrel?

That is very helpful.
I have had trouble controlling OCL with RL15 and Varget and see that 748 and CFE should provide a little bit more leeway since they are below 100% density at similar velocity and pressure.
I will let you all know how I do.
I am willing to give up a little bit of accuracy for velocity since I am using this rifle frequently between 600 and 1,000 yards. (All gun nuts are crazy except you and me, and sometimes I wonder about you).

Thank you for plugging in the higher pressure loads from top down.
I will probably run close to NATO pressures.
I am currently using just 35-37 MOA elevation (depending on temperature) to get on at 1,000 yards and would like to duplicate that as closely as I safely can.
I will let you all know how I do.
You have saved me a lot of bench time.

Has anyone been brave enough to upgrade their OS to Windows 10 and if so does QuickLoad version 3.8 run under Windows 10?
I see that a version 3.9 is being offered on the QL Site along with a data upgrade. It says the 3.9 version is compatible with Windows 10. I ordered the data upgrade but don't know if it includes 3.9 application updates as well yet...

QL 3.6 and 3.8 run just fine on Windows 10.

I am not sure I would consider windows 10 an improvement over 7.
Its alot like using a smart phone. Windows will take over alot of your choices about what programs to install on your desktop. They are not even called programs, they are apps.
You can unistall it within 30 days. I did though not without some headache recovering previous system stability.
windows keeps both versions on your computer for those 30 days. Expect some registry and even boot problems to solve. Not trouble free.

"The newest version of QuickLOAD is now available. It is Version 3.9. No need to upgrade to 3.9. It only corrects the need to go through the above procedures to install on Windows 10. No new data on 3.9."

Hi i need help figuring out the velocity of this round i made for my .308 that has a 22" barrel with a 1/10 twist, its a Nosler 175gr HPBT with 40gr of IMR 4064 powder. I have looked allover online and haven't found anything and I don't now anybody that has a chronograph.
I cant make my dope chart without it so if some body could please help that would be great!

Question for you folks- Have you found any correlation between accuracy and "location" of the obt load within the QL estimate? I rarely get one that is in the middle of the ! Near Maximum !. They most always land on the line before the ! Near Maximum ! starts. I don't load to Saami max, so I really don't look for the fastest node. I'm even more cautious in doing so after seeing how Alliant powders swing. I like having that cushion.
I have estimated combinations (50gr Btip in 22-250 for example) and it's obt landed in the middle, but I've never loaded and tested it. I just find it interesting that 99% of the time it lands where it does. I haven't had any loads disagree with it, so I haven't knowingly test it.

Update on the previous .300 blkout questions I posted on this thread. I took advantage of the BF sales and put together another AR-15 fpr the .300 blkout barrel. I ignored QL and reloaded several loads that were previously tested. The groups still had that 2-3" stringing. I decided to look at the scope. thinking it could be off. I took off my butler creek caps and noticed that the "fast focus" eye piece was really far out. Really far, but the reticle and target were "ok". Typing this I am reminded of a fellow shooter adjusting it to get a sight picture that fit him. I adjusted it back in and tried some more of the same loads. Back to being under an inch @ 100. Glad I didnt get rid of the brass I had made. My daughter is going to get this one, when she gets big enough since I had replaced it with the 7.62x40.

After posting results on QL, is it best to choose a powder / data that has 99% propellant burnt than 100% where the bullet's push expires before it exits the muzzle? Correct me if I am wrong, the bullet should be continued to be pushed and exited out the muzzle before the propellant reaches 100% burned for best accuracy, of course with all the other parameters such as pressure, case fill, etc?

As long as the "Pmuzz" column isn't "0" the bullet is still getting pushed.... Regardless of powder burn percentage.
"Pmuzz" is pressure at the muzzle at the time the bullet exits the barrel.

I've given that some thought, and when looking at QuickLOAD results it's my opinion that if it tells you the powder will burn 100% at pressures below what you intend to run, then you can be at least somewhat confident you'll get that 100% burn. If you're on the cusp of thew 100% burn, then maybe you will and maybe you won't. I strongly feel that when it tells you you'll get a 95% burn, then you're subject to variables that might result in a range of burn percentage and consequent variation in velocity. All conjecture on my part, but meritable I think.
